At the Palazzo Albergati, 87 instrumentalists perform a serenata; among the players are 4 trombones, divided into pairs on either side of the harpsichord. Many of the musicians are members of the Accademia de’Filarmonici (Crowther, The Oratorio in Bologna 18).
