Carl Queisser performs as soloist on two different occasions at the Gewandhaus. The latter performance is the premier of a work by Friederich August Kummer, Concertino für Bassposaune. The review in Allgemeine musikalischeZeitung says, “Our oft praised Mr. Q. performed wonderfully on a new and very difficult concertino by Mr. Kummer” (Lewis, Gewandhaus).
