An English Jesuit describes music of the church: “A man may goe to so many Churches in one day…with such voices, such instruments, al ful of gravitie and majestie, al moving to devotion and ravishing a mans hart to the meditation of melodie of Angels and Saintes in heaven….Among the quyre, Cornet or Sagbut, or such like above the voices” (Atlas, Aragonese 615).
