Ascanio d’Andrea di Lazaro Marri is supernumerary trombonist (a performer not a permanent member of the ensemble) with the Palace wind band. He becomes a regular member of the band in 1551 and the leader of Palace musicians by at least 1566 (D’Accone, Civic Muse 780).
