Anonymous portrait of hornist Frédéric Nicolas Duvernoy (1765-1838). Duvernoy is hornist at Orchestre de la Comédie italienne, then Orchestre de la Garde Nationale and later, in 1795, becames professor of horn at the Paris Conservatoire (see below; public domain).
